Graduated from Montreal College and University in Jazz Guitar Performance, Vince Vertefeuille is proudly Endorse by Boucher & Godin Guitars!
A virtuoso guitarist and passionate educator, Vince is celebrated for his exceptional guitar skills and musical versatility. He began playing guitar at age 12, and by 16, he had already gained recognition for his refined technique and interpretation. After receiving classical guitar training in high school, Vince pursued further studies at the college level, where he mastered a range of styles, including Fingerstyle, Gypsy Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, and Jazz Fusion — areas that are now his specialties.
A dedicated music teacher since 2009, Vince holds professional jazz guitar training from Cégep de St-Laurent. In 2018, he was awarded a scholarship to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar at UQAM, further expanding his expertise. Vince’s career took a significant leap in 2012 when he won the prestigious Grand Prix de la Guitare at the Montreal Jazz Festival in the Fingerstyle category, solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the genre.
Vince was also a member of the band Bridgeway, with whom he opened for Hedley and Simple Plan in 2013. The band recorded their first album in Vancouver, and their hit song “So Far Away” reached the Top 5 on CKOI, becoming a radio staple for several months. In addition to his band success, Vince launched a solo career, releasing Somewhere in Time, an album of original Fingerstyle guitar compositions that blend rich atmospheres with intricate melodies.
As the Lead Guitarist at Studios Luc Tellier, Vince has collaborated with renowned artists such as David Usher, Joel Legendre, Stephanie Bédard, and more. Today, he is an Ambassador Artist for prestigious brands like Godin Guitars, Boucher Guitars, and ASPRI. Through his partnership with these brands, Vince produces promotional videos and hosts clinics and masterclasses, sharing his expertise with musicians of all backgrounds.
In 2023, Vince will perform at the Festival des Guitares du Monde in Abitibi Témiscamingue and as the opening act for Antoine Dufour and Érik Mongrain at the Festival des Guitares de l’Assomption. His prominent presence at the Saguenay Guitar Festival in 2024 led to his appointment as an official Ambassador of the festival, further cementing his role in promoting guitar and large-scale musical events. Vince also continues to perform regularly across Quebec with his One Man Show.
Looking ahead, Vince is set to begin recording his highly anticipated second Fingerstyle album in 2025, promising to explore new creative territories within his musical repertoire. With his professionalism, creativity, and unwavering dedication, Vince continues to build an impressive career, solidifying his position as one of the most respected guitarists in Quebec and the international music scene.
